- *** Playball - Instructions ***
-
-
- The idea for the game is similar to one of the Tetris clones, there's
- so many i couldn't tell you which.
- You have to launch different coloured balls up the table and match 3 of
- the same colour in a row. Sound easy....well the hard part is that you can
- only bounce the balls of the sides of the table. There are 5 different
- colours of balls and there are bonuses which help you along the way.
- You can select the time limit you want from 60 to 2 minutes and the
- amount of lines of 3 you get and the score you accumulate in that time is
- calculated and if good enough you will be entered into one of the 3 high
- score tables.
-
- *** Table One ***
-
- This is the SCORE table. You get 10 points per line made, plus bonuses for
- lines made immediately after each other and extra an extra bonus if the
- line is of the same colour.
- Eg. You get 10 lines, which at 10 points a line gives you 100 points.
- It is possible for the next person to get 9 lines + 3 bonuses for
- successive lines which would give you 105 points taking them above the
- last person even though they have less lines.
-
- *** Table Two ***
-
- This is the LINES table. This simply enters the players with the most
- lines, regardless of the point they have scored.
-
- *** Table Three ***
-
- This is the LINES PER MINUTE table. This table calculates the number of
- lines you scored in the time you played. The greater the better.
- Eg. If you played for 30 minutes and accumulated 60 lines then you would
- have 2 Lines Per Minute.
-
-
- You can view each of these tables from the options page, upon entering
- the table you can switch between them by clicking on the appropriate table
- indicated at the top of the screen.
-
-
-
- *** The controls ***
-
- The pointer can be controlled by either the keyboard or the joystick,
- the selection of which is made from the options page - Controls, as is the
- time. It is worth noting that the game can be exited any time by pressing
- the Escape key. So if for example you had selected a 60 minute game and
- had played for 30 minutes but have had enough, by pressing ESCAPE you
- game will stop and the lines and score will be calculated with the 30
- minutes you have played.
-
- *** The Keys ***
-
- Turn Left - Q or joystick down.
-
- Turn Right - E or joystick down.
-
- Move Left - O or joystick left.
-
- Move Right - P or joystick Right.
-
- Fire Ball - Space or Joystick Fire.
-
- The game is Pre-set to Keys. To change to joystick goto the options
- page.
- The keys are re-definable from the controls page.
- *** Please note ESCAPE and * are not recommemded for use as they have
- other functions in the game.
- *** * Will return to workbench from the game screen. As will Control+C
- from anywhere in the program. These have been left in for your
- convenience.
-
-
- *** Sound ***
-
- You can either play with Sound FX or Music during the game - Not both.
- The game is pre-set on Sound FX, to change to Music go to the Sound
- options page.
- *** Please note. The Ingame music will only load on 2Mb or above
- machines. If you are running with only 1Mb then you will only be able to
- play with the sound FX. Which are the best anyway.
-
-
-
-
- *** Extra's ***
-
-

- version you will receive on registration will have lots more.
